Pylorox
It is a high capacity filter medium for the removal of hydrogen sulfide, iron or iron, and manganese. Chemical regeneration is not required, since these contaminants are oxidized on the surface of the average, and then removed by a simple backwash. The characteristics of the design flow are similar to those of green sand. Higher capacities and the non-requirement of regenerants make PYROLOX an economical alternative to iron removal.
A naturally extracted mineral, Pyrolox contains in its entirety manganese dioxide that has been used in water treatment for more than 75 years. Pyrolox is a granular filtration medium to remove hydrogen sulfide, iron and manganese reduction. Pyrolox works like a catalyst, but in itself it remains relatively unchanged. Pyrolox works initially by which hydrogen sulfide, iron and manganese oxidize and get caught in the filter media, while the simple backwash cleans the bed.
